Weekend fun!

We have our weekend planned out and unfortunately, some people always TRY to rain on your parade. We have things planned since September as a surprise for the kids. I'm excited about the things we're going to be doing this weekend!

I don't think Mallory realizes the time is here but tonight is THE night - we have tickets to Ballet Spartanburg's Nutcracker performance. We've had them a while and I don't think she realizes the night is finally here. I haven't said anything about it to her. Daddy will be at the office Christmas party and Julia Grace is having a Nana and Papa evening. I have been so excited about finally getting to go see the Nutcracker and Mallory is excited as well - she went when she was 4 or 5 with her mom but hasn't seen it since then.

I keep thinking I haven't gotten nearly as much accomplished as I would like to but we've been busy with work and other things. I guess I have been productive - I've learned to knit and I'm on my 3rd project. I made Julia's chipboard name letters a couple of weeks back and hope to hang them finally this weekend. Tracy says I've been a little Betty Crocker with all the different recipes I've been trying. I am trying to find meals that are better for us and still tasty and not mundane. I am also trying to find things that Julia Grace will eat as well. She's a little ho-hum when it comes to chicken but seems to like most red meat and some pork or turkey. I have done several swaps with our meetup group and I've completed another layout. Julia Grace and I have made some "fridge art" for Grandma and Grandpa. Mallory and I will be finishing up our long running blanket project this weekend so I can mail it off on Monday or Tuesday. We were not well for various lengths of time and since the blankets are going to children in the hospital I did not want us to get them "germy" by trying to prepare them. It's time to get them on out to where they belong! :) We also made 3 shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child in the last month as well. So I guess I have been productive once I sit and think about it!

I have also read 3 of the 4 books in the Twilight saga. I'm on Breaking Dawn and I'm on page 600-something out of 700 something. It's hard to put it down but I do have a house to clean, paperwork to do, and Julia Grace to keep straight! These books are SO good! Have I mentioned that lately? The movie was awesome as well. Go read the books and go see the movie. The movie won't spoil it for you if you've only read the first book, but don't read articles about the books online especially wikipedia because that WILL spoil it for you!

I have to get going - We have to get ready for the evening!

Oh, and save this date - as of right now, Julia Grace's 3rd birthday party will be on Saturday, August 22 from 2p.m. until 5 p.m.! Hope to see you there! I know it's a ways off but I can't wait to start planning her party. This will be the first year she really knows what is going on with a birthday party! She's starting to talk so much lately and mimicking what you say! It's great!

Have a good afternoon! Later taters!
