So far this summer...

We've been to do lots of different things! :) Mallory was with us from May 30th -June 6th and June 11th-June 25th.

In that time the kids went to 2 different Vacation Bible Schools together - Saddle Ridge Ranch and Galactic Blast - at a local Baptist church and Methodist church respectively. We went to 2 days of High Seas Expedition at a local Lutheran church until the kids came down with Strep Throat (as did both me and Tracy).

We have been to Chattanooga/Lookout Mtn. in Tennessee. We went to Point Park and the Chattanooga Zoo. This trip was rather interesting because it was a spur of the moment, let's go somewhere and see what happens. Turns out that the weekend we picked, was Tennessee H.O.G.s weekend in Chattanooga. As in, Tennessee H.O.G. = Tennessee Harley Owners' Group. Biker week in Tennessee means it was packed - so we drove around and looked at a lot of things and planned what to do when we came back there an extended trip. :)

We went to a birthday party by the pool for Julia's "boyfriend", Holden where we saw several of Julia Grace's friends from the preschool at Oakland. We went to the Swim Center a few days for open swim time. We went to the pool in Tarah's neighborhood for a lunch/pool date with one my mom groups as Mallory says. :) We also started swimming lessons for Julia Grace at the Swim Center this past week and continue into next week.

We went to a wedding in Flat Rock, NC for cousin Jimmy and Melissa, where we saw a lot of our other Asheville family. We went to see Toy Story 3 in 3D (this is only the second time we've taken JG to the movies ever and paid - she's been to free movies). She's still a little stir crazy close to the end of movies sometimes even when they're new and cute. And we met Super Why and Wonder Red of Super Why! at KidSenses museum in Rutherfordton and had a nice dinner at Graziano's. The girls all managed to get some face time in with the UNC-TV guy at both the children's museum as well as the restaurant afterwards. He didn't make promises about whether they'd be on TV or not, but Mallory seems to think he'll put them on there.

I will admit - the only thing good about strep throat, is it left us at home to rest after all that. I think we all needed the rest, but maybe not at the expense of our poor throats! I got in some scrapbook time last night at my favorite scrappy spot and will be going back today for a Cricut class. Then I'm off for a little more crop time to finish some layouts and swaps at Angie's house after the class. I promise - this is my mommy R&R. Trust me!

Pictures to come later as I take them off the card this week - lots and lots of pictures! :)
